aBOUT VINCE

Vincent "Vinny" Maietta is a lifelong South Portland resident, business owner, developer, and community leader with more than 40 years of experience creating jobs, building communities, and serving the people of Maine.

A 1976 graduate of South Portland High School, Vinny learned the value of hard work at an early age while working alongside his family in the construction industry. At 18, he set out on his own and built a successful career developing residential, commercial, retail, mixed-use, and industrial projects across Maine.

Known to family and friends as "Uncle Vinny," he has spent decades quietly giving back to his community through charitable causes, youth organizations, local nonprofits, and civic service. He currently serves on South Portland's Civil Service Commission and has previously served on the Appeals Board, Noise Committee, and numerous community advisory committees.

Vinny is running for the Maine Senate because he believes public service is about people, not politics. He is committed to building relationships across party lines, finding common ground, and bringing people together to solve problems. With a proven record of leadership, business experience, and community involvement, Vinny will put the needs of Maine families first and work to build a stronger future for everyone in our community.
